Bonnie Helen Dishman, age 75, of Indianapolis, Ind., went to be with her heavenly Father on Thursday, October 27, 2011 at Eagle Creek Health Care. Born on November 9, 1935 in Oliver Springs, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late Norman Phillips and Georgia (Russell) Ward.

A lifetime resident of Indianapolis, she spent the majority of her life as a wife, homemaker and mother. She was a member of Blane Ave. Baptist Church, Women's Bowling League, and former member of School 46 PTO, and coached Carnine Little League Baseball. She was a friend to many neighbors.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond Dishman; sons, Robert, John, Frank and Lance Dishman; daughters, Tina Cyrus and Cindy Dishman; grandchildren, Travis Cyrus, Marika Dishman, Brittany Dishman, Tracey Weddle, Alysa Dishman, Austin Dishman, T.J. Cyrus, Breanna Dishman, Frank Dishman, Jr., Sarah Dishman and Aaron Ross; great-grandchildren, Kenzie, Kelsi, Kyler, Kierston Dishman, Dallas Weddle, Jaidyn, Caylei, Cyrus, Kirstin Ferguson and Hailey Dishman; sister, Christine Wilson and brother Allen Phillips; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Danny Dishman and daughter, Wanda Joyce (Dishman) Grimes; brothers, Mikey, Bud and Jerry Phillips; sisters, Nancy Disney and Evelyn Racine.

Calling will be on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. with funeral service to immediately follow at 1:00 p.m. at Legacy Funeral Center, 1601 W. Morris Street, Indianapolis, Ind. Memorials in memory of Mrs. Dishman may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
